As is the tradition of Single Speed Sunday is the Saturday night ritual of riding our single speeds to "99 Bottles of Beer" a local Santa Cruz watering hole that boasts a very impressive collection of beers. 99 Bottles give a card which has 99 entries on it. You get a stamp for each beer on the menu that you consume. If you fill the card then your name is immortalized forever on a plaque on the wall with the date and a profound slogan that will greet all the beer drinkers who gaze upon the wall of fame. One of the long term objectives of Single Speed Sunday is to fill our cards.
At 99 Bottles, the theme for the evening were British beers in honor of our sweet brand new On-Ones that we would be riding the following day. Most of the beers sampled were John Courage bitters and stouts, Sam Smith pale ale and lager and other british ales escape my memory. Sterlacci managed to get 3 more beers signed off on his card.
