TWW RACE A REALITY!!!
Fo-get about it! No really. The TWW race is going to happen bay-bee. But things have changed slightly. It won't be just one race - it will be several. Oh yeah, and it won't be a full blown cross country race in the middle of Timbuk friggin' two. It's going to be a dirt crit series in good ol' Livermore, CA. Seconds away from the 580 freeway. On a motocross track (Club Moto) of all things.
On a motocross track?! What gives? Whose stupid idea was that?
Well, the reason is simple - logistics. Doing a full blown race required too much effort - and that would be asking way too much of TWW. However, a race on a small course where there would loads o' fun would be the ticket.
These races will be totally different too - they will be on a Friday night under the lights! We'll have an announcer, preems, awards, food, and maybe carpet too! There will be three individual race classes (women's, Beginner men, Sport men) and there will be one "team" race. There is a special twist to this "team" race - that's for us to know and you to find out at the track. Needless to say, it will be wacky.
